This restaurant can’t be bleat.

Happy Monday everyone!

Saturday night, Kori, Matt, D and I went to a restaurant called The Local Goat (hopefully now the title makes sense bahaha) in Pigeon Forge. Kori had researched and found that it was highly rated and very poopular (any I Love Lucy fans out there?) so she made a reservation for us. Thank goodness she did because it was packed when we arrived! They had beautiful Christmas decor so immediately I was very pleased.We were placed in a very comfy booth with a good view of the SEC Championship. It was kind of painful to watch because I would have loved for both teams to lose but alas that can’t happen.

I decided on the shrimp and grits and D got some spicy wings. Both were delicious! My meal was super flavorful and the grits texture was perfect. The waitress informed us they make 99% of their items in-house from scratch including the ketchup and focus on using local items, which I think is very impressive.I couldn’t resist getting dessert so I got the bourbon maple pecan sundae that I split with D and kor.So if you are in the Knoxville area and are wanting to eat somewhere new we all highly recommend checking this place out!

  2. holy smokes this place looks amazing!!! YUM!! the shrimp and grits is making my mouth water. I had some in NOLA for the first time, and it was one of my favorite dishes I had there. SO good. And the dessert looks oh so scrumptious too! And you know I loved the pun at the beginning πŸ˜‰ Have a great week, Kaci!

    1. Shrimp and grits is soooooo delish but if done wrong, can be so disappointing! I dislike when the grits aren’t thick and creamy so sometimes I steer clear but these sounded like fancy shrimp and grits because they had bacon jam (I KNOW) and sriracha taking them to the next level.
